Massage is Customizable Therapy For Me

One Size Does Not Fit All
You know how fast-food drive-thrus don’t ask how your digestive system is feeling before they give you a #3 combo? Yeah, I’m the opposite of that.
Massage isn’t a routine I copy-paste onto every client like I’m programming a car wash. This is not the "therapist lays down the law" kind of service. Each session is customized—because every body is different. Even your body is different every time you walk in. One week it’s your neck from hunching over your laptop trying to survive Zoom. Next week it’s your low back from "just helping a friend move" (aka, proving your chiropractor’s point).
So, I don’t decide what your body needs. You and your nervous system tell me. My job is to listen—with my hands, my ears, and yes, sometimes a furrowed brow and a "Hmm, tell me more about that sharp pain behind your shoulder blade."
Your Session = Your Needs
I’ve had clients come in saying, “Just do whatever you think I need.” And I say: “Cool. I think you need to tell me what’s going on.”
Because while I’ve got a brain full of anatomy knowledge and a toolbox of techniques, I’m not here to impose “my way of doing things” on your body. This isn’t about what I want to do. (Trust me, if it were, we’d all be doing 90 minutes of a back massage while I talk about how underrated Lionel Messi still is.)
Instead, we talk. We check in. I adapt. Pressure, speed, areas of focus, music, lighting—you name it. Everything is flexible, based on how you feel in this exact moment. You’re not on a massage assembly line.
Healing Happens When You’re In Charge
Here’s the deal: massage works best when you feel safe, in control, and heard. You’re not handing over your body for a mystery hour of “whatever the therapist decides.” You’re showing up as the boss of your own body. I’m just the hands that help you reach your goals—whether that’s pain relief, stress management, or just being able to turn your neck enough to back out of your driveway like a normal human again.
It’s Not a Spa Day (Unless You Want It to Be)
Sure, massage can be relaxing, even luxurious. But it’s also serious, effective therapy. It’s for the firefighter with hip pain, the new mom with wrist issues, the construction worker with shoulder tension, and yes—even the accountant with too many spreadsheets and not enough vitamin D.
I’ve worked on every shape, size, color, orientation, and vibe of human. There is no “massage body type.” If you’ve got a body, you qualify. If you’ve got pain, stress, or a general sense that your shoulders are slowly becoming earrings… massage might be what you need.
TL;DR: It’s Not About Me. It’s About You.
So if you’ve been nervous, unsure, or thought, “Massage isn’t for people like me,”—let me be the first to say: it absolutely is.
It’s not just for the ‘gram. It’s not just for people who already do yoga. It’s not just a treat. It’s therapy. And it’s always about you.
Maybe it’s time you give it a try.
